Foam materials provide probably the most universal interior solutions.
A huge variety of materials with different technical properties,
like wide ranges of density and hardness, can basically pack and protect anything.
Long operational life, excellent items protection, a pleasant look, and cost efficiency
make custom made foam interiors a favorite of our customers.
We also produce foam-only products, very popular as display elements.
All used materials are certified, free of any harmful chemicals, and easy to recycle.

Material

We offer interior materials featuring
- a wide range of material density, which tanslates to "softness",
- different structures and colors for more creative freedom,
- operating temperature from -50°C / -58°F to up to 300°C / 570°F for fire protective foam,

Foam Materials

Item weight and size, case size, application and operational environment determine the best foam material for your project.

All these foam materials are available in different hardness and color:

PU Sponge

The basic softness of PU Sponge makes it the material of choice if you need to pack and protect delicate, or light objects.
Also perfect and versatile as protective foam in the case lid.

Pearl Foam (black / white)

A basic and affordable foam material in the lower-medium protection level.
Versatile and easy to combine with other materials.
It comes in black and white standard colors .

HD Pearl Foam

Featuring a higher density, HD Pearl Foam offers already serious protection of your items.
The good look with smooth surface, and low weight combined with excellent strength explain the high polularity of this material.
Standard colors in the dark grey range.

EVA Foam

EVA foam is probably the coolest material also suitable for heavier items.
Excellent protection, and the smooth surface delivers a great look
Probably your flip-flops are made from EVA, proving to last, and featuring excellent flexibility.
EVA is highly cusomizable and easy to combine with other foam materials.
There are open-cell foams available for normal applications, and closed-cell foams when it is getting really wet.

Cubed Foam ("pick & pluck")

This foam material comes in pre-cut foam layers.
Your customer can easily remove foam and build their own layout.
Very popular in retail cases for Photo and Video cases and outdoor boxes.
We offer different cube sizes and layer thicknesses.

PU Egg Foam Sponge

Also called Egg Crate Foam or Convoluted Acoustic Foam.
This foam material works perfectly as the protective layer in a case lid.
Many styles available, with different thickness and size of the "peaks".
Most popular colors are black, white and pink.

Give the foam some color:

There are already many standard colors for basically all foam materials available,
and we can even provide custom colored foam according to Pantone color codes.
Certain MOQs apply for colored / custom color foam.

There are a few options to bring text or logos on / in your foam design.
We can cut even intricate shapes, print on (some) foam materials, or we laser de-boss EVA foam.

A clever foam interior design elevates a case to become YOUR case.
It presents your products professionally,
protects items seriously,

Some considerations for a smart and esthetic foam interior design:

1. Choose the ideal foam material for your items.
2. Provide some space between items and case wall for proper protection (ideally 1 - 2 cm / 0.5" - 1")
3. Allow some space between items (ideally 1 - 2 cm / 0.5" - 1")
4. Create "finger spaces" for better accces to items
5. Think about using space in the lid cleverly

Blister solutions deliver a rather sturdy accomodation of items.
The material thickness is determied by case size and / or item weight,
and has accordingly a great effect on the overall weight and protection level.
There are many colors and surface structures available.
Not all products are suitable for blister solutions,
and the need for a production tool weighs a bit on the costs for smaller quantities.

With almost unlimited color options and surface structures it is easy to create a very unique interior.

optimizing the vertical

Tray solutions allow to lift a foam element with items out of the case either to access compatments under the tray base plate, or use the tray with functional items assembled outside of the case.
We usually recommend a tray base plate thickness, depending on the weight of items and size of the tray, 3 - 5 mm (5/64" - 1/4").
Utilizing of trays allow excellent use of the case depth thus saving a lot of volume and logistic costs accordingly.
Typical applications are computer caes with cable trees, peripherals, batteries etc.,
like biometric systems, optical instruments or other technical sets.

Material

A typical tray system base plate is made from high-strength plastic material, but certain light metal alloys are also suitable.
Combined with the base plate are usually EVA or HD foam elements to provide enough strength and resilience when trays are handled.

Different types of organizers for bottom and lid of our cases allow quick access to your items.

Case bottom organizer

We offer different organizer systems for case bottoms.

padded divider...
are composed of a base padding on case bottom floor and sides with long dividers in either horizontal or vertical direction. These and shorter padded dividers between the long dividers are connected by velcro edges.
The result is a stable frame of compartments with relatively soft padded walls and bottom.
Easily adjustable.

foam lined plate divider...
feature a lining of a range of foam material - from soft sponge to resilient EVA - over a rigid ABS plate. This composite structure combines the required individual protection for items and stability of the divider framework.
Long and short divider slide into slots for stable positioning.

Case lid organizer

Ideally utilize more available space in the lid of our cases with the smart design of our lid organizer.
Made to last with highest quality materials, like CORDURA^®.
In zipper or flexi styles available.

Panels

Optionally we can equip all ABS cases with panel holders.
We supply panels according to requested specifications.
Matching panels in a variety of materials and thicknesses are available in many surface finishes.
We prepare holes and cut-outs for panel items by CNC, laser, waterjet or plasma cutting technology, and print or markings according to your layout requirements.

Material

Many of our cases, especially the Waterproof Heavy Duty Cases can be made from different plastic materials with already different properties.
Special polymers allow to extend operational temperatures on the lower or higher end forextremely hot or cold environments.
A wide range of certified, halogene free, state-of-the-artfire-resitant or flame retardant materialsare available.

Extreme Protection

No Problem

HengTime Waterproof Heavy Duty Cases are generally tested and certified according to
IP68 (IEC/EN 60529),
IK10 (EN 622262),
ATA300Cat1,
and other standards.
This is pretty much as good as it gets in waterproofness, dustproofness and in ingression protection,
and good enough for almost all operatingg environments.
Additionally we can equip our cases with radioactive protection,orEMP shielding.

Extreme Security

Security is a growing concern.
Together with our dedicated R&D company we take on challenges related to protect items in the cases with
tamper-proofingtools,
seals,different
high-end locking systems(internal, external, remotely operated, etc.), and
indicator systems.

Extreme Comfort

We see a consistent trend towardsTrolley Cases.
Heavy Duty Cases are good to hold seriously heavy items.
Many of our bigger cases are Trolley Cases or are available in a Trolley Case Version.
Compact but heavy cases are so much easier to move around with a trolley.
We have been upgrading our trolley cases with"silent-rolls",featuring a noise absorbing surface plus ball bearing for extremly smooth handling.
